  • About Gift Horse Eventing

The GHE blog launched in Oct 2008. Originally created as a riding diary to chronicle my latest antics the concept has now expanded into a full blown website. I am an amateur competitive rider based in the south west, and I compete locally in a variety of disciplines, but my main passion is for one day eventing. I am an affiliated member of British Eventing and also take part in regular training clinics, lessons and unaffiliated competitions. It is my belief that every hour of instructional and competitive experience I gain will all help towards improving my performance and hopefully in turn have a beneficial effect on my BE/BDWP results. I am lucky enough to have gained sponsorship as an amateur rider, and I try my best to promote my sponsors and make the sponsorship relationship a worthwhile exercise. Over the last 2 years I have found that writing an eventing blog is a great way to gain perspective, keep track of your competitive progress, and share your experiences with others. This year I am also writing a monthly column for the equestrian website eventingworldwide.com so if you like my blog you can read even more from me there!

Look out for those green and white harlequins!
